The center of Ringebu is nationally considered one of the best preserved village quarters in the country. The hiking trail, Pilgrimsleden, will take you to the famous stave church. In the area you will find the beautiful river Gudbrandsdalslågen as well as lakes with good fishing opportunities. In Vinstra in the Gudbrands valley, the Peer Gynt Festival is held every year at the beginning of August. This is a cultural festival where you can experience Norwegian music and theater. The valley offers beautiful nature to explore. Day trips to Hunderfossen adventure park and Lilleputthammer family park are a great idea for families with children.
