Welcome to this inviting cottage at Venabygdsfjellet, the gateway to Rondane National Park. This is the starting point for the national tourist route Rondane. With its natural wood and charming fireplace, the house exudes a warm atmosphere and invites you to spend pleasant hours socializing over board games and cozy conversations in front of the atmospheric fireplace. Early risers can breathe in the fresh morning air of eastern Norway on the terrace, with a cup of coffee in hand.

The location of the house south of the Rondane massif offers countless hiking opportunities and excellent excursion destinations. Experience magnificent nature and beautiful mountain trails near Flak Lake by taking the 12 km hiking tour, Svartfjellrunden. When you hike to the top of Svartfjell, you will have a fantastic view of Rondane at an altitude of 1154 meters above sea level. But the highlight in this area is Rondane National Park. You can hike to one of the 2000 meter high peaks of the Rondane massif, across mountain plateaus and wide open spaces, explore waterfalls and gorges, see tracks of wild reindeer or visit a mountain pasture.
