    “Geffosses ligt niet ver van de zee, dus voor wat dat betreft zit je goed. Voor de rest is er in het plaatsje zelf niet veel te beleven. Er zit een soort kampeerwinkel voor de eerste behoeften. Voor de rest is het een zeer rustig plaatje. Voor de boodschappen kun je beter naar Coutances rijden. Daar heb je een discounter en een supermarkt voor de boodschappen naast de ligt een hamburgerrestaurant. Het gemeentehuis en de kathedraal zijn ook de moeite waard. Vanuit Geffosses is het 80km. naar Mont Saint Michel en de Alligator Bay, Rouen is zo'n drie uur rijden. Pretparken en dierentuinen liggen op een paar uur van Geffosses. Als je een eindje rijden niet erg vindt dan is Cherbourg met z'n La Cité de la Mer een aanrader. Voor de heenweg is Pont de Normandië een echte aanrader. De heen- en terugweg zijn prima te doen via de kust, zelfs op de zwarte zaterdagen.
    Het weer is vergelijkbaar met Nederland, het is alleen minder vochtig waardoor het wat warmer aandoet.”
